The Three Sisters, written in 1900 by Anton Chekhov, follows the lives of the three Prozorov sisters—Olga, Masha and Irina—who long to return to their birthplace of Moscow where they believe their lives will be bettered. However, their lives intertwine with complications involving their brother and his wife, military officers and local residents as they all grapple with their individual purposes and the compromises we make for happiness.
